Catalog Description: Thesis work under the supervision of a faculty member. To obtain credit the student must, at the end of two semesters, submit a satisfactory thesis to the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department archive. A total of four units must be taken. The units many be distributed between one or two semesters in any way. H196A-H196B count as graded technical elective units, but may not be used to satisfy the requirement for 27 upper division technical units in the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society with a major in Computer Science.

Units: 1-4

Prerequisites: Open only to students in the computer science honors program.

Formats:
Fall: 1-4 hours of independent study per week
Spring: 1-4 hours of independent study per week

Grading Basis: Default Letter Grade; P/NP Option

Final Exam Status: Yes
