Catalog Description: Kirchhoff's laws. Telegen's theorem. Circuit elements (including op amps). Simple nonlinear circuits. General network analysis. Sinusoidal steady-state analysis. Laplace transform. Convolution. Network theorems. Natural frequencies. Stability. Network functions: poles and zeros; magnitude and phase. Two-ports. Filter approximation, synthesis, sensitivity.

Prerequisites: 40 (may be waived by instructor), Mathematics 53 or 54, and Physics 7B.

Formats:
Fall: 4 hours of lecture and 2 hours of discussion per week
Spring: 4 hours of lecture and 2 hours of discussion per week
