Biography

I am a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry and Vision Science and Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the University of California, Berkeley. I am affiliated with Vision Science, Applied Science & Technology (AS&T) and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) PhD programs.
I lead the Visionary Optical Imaging LAb (VOILA). I apply methods of optical physics and modern computational science to develop cutting-edge optical microscopy technologies for eye and brain imaging. VOILA is a highly interdisciplinary team, welcoming people from a variety of backgrounds spanning physics, engineering, and biology.
