The SPUR ("Symbolic Processing Using RISCs") Project is a research effort aimed at applying reduced instruction set computer concepts to the support of LISP programming environments. In addition, the project extends previous Berkeley RISC efforts in the direction of multiple processor and co-processor support. The objective of the project is to build a complete prototype computer system, including extensive software development. This document records the implementation issues and decisions made during the design of the hardware prototype.
