This white paper is focused on the use of teleimmersion and augmented reality to achieve high level of presence while addressing the three key objectives of reducing energy in transportation, namely, communication, labor, and experience. We believe the recent confluence of teleimmersion and augmented reality technologies can not only reduce the cost related to transportation, but also has the potential to meaningfully increase productivity in remote collaboration and at the same time reduce performance errors related to these activities.
