Allon Wagner
Biography
Prof. Wagner joined the faculty in January 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS), Assistant Professor of Immunology and Molecular Medicine at the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology (MCB), and a member of the Center for Computational Biology (CCB). His group develops data-driven algorithms to analyze single-cell molecular atlases (e.g., single-cell transcriptomics) and applies them to study the metabolic dysregulation of immunity in immune system disorders. The group collaborates with experimental biologists studying diverse immune disorders, which include cancer, autoimmunity, neurological, and infectious diseases.
Prospective students:
I am accepting new students every year. If you are interested in working with me, please apply to our PhD program, mention my name as a potential research advisor, and list CS-BIO or AI-SCI as your major area. This guarantees that your application will be forwarded to me for review. Once you're shortlisted for an interview, I'll be more than happy to discuss my group's research and the great opportunities Berkeley has to offer with you. Read about how to apply.
Are you already a Berkeley student, or have you already been accepted into a Berkeley PhD track? Great! Feel free to email me directly.
