"Vista on the Future of Information & Communication Technology"
BEARS 2004 is the first of an annual series of events presenting significant new research thrusts and accomplishments across EECS. Highlight plenary talks will be supported by more intimate open house meetings in centers and projects. Topics will include embedded systems and networks, new computational substrates stemming from the bio-info-nano fusion, pervasive computing and communication, and augmented cognition. Some of our young leaders will be featured in a Student Technical Accomplishments in Research Series (STARS).
